NOTICE OF HEARING The above case is set for a compliance hearing before the Honorable LaTisha Dear Jackson on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., and parties are ordered to appear to show cause why they have failed to produce the settlement documents to the Court. In addition to the compliance matters, the Court may choose to hear any motions that are ripe at the time of the hearing. The hearing will convene via Zoom.

DEKALB SUPERIOR COURT, HON. LATISHA DEAR JACKSON REMOTE HEARING RULES AND STANDARDS

Conducting Court Remotely: To ensure that court functions are completed efficiently and expeditiously, the Court is exercising its authority to conduct remote judicial proceedings using videoconferencing platforms such as Zoom as a preferred alternative to in-person proceedings. Any party or a member of the public who objects to the remote proceeding shall notify the Court immediately, and the Court shall sustain or overrule such objection prior to conducting the proceeding.

To ensure the public’s right of access, the Zoom proceeding can be viewed in a designated courtroom of the DeKalb County Courthouse or livestreamed on YouTube.

www.zoom.com, press “Join Meeting” at the top of the screen, and type in the meeting id number with the passcode. The Zoom session will then start, though you will be in a waiting room until the proceeding formally convenes. In some cases, you may need to download the Zoom application. even if driving or riding while using hands-free technology. Make sure your head and shoulders are visible on camera. Position yourself near the center of the frame, leaving some room in the frame above your head.

The video camera should be as level with your eyes as possible, so that you are looking straight ahead at the

camera. Be mindful of your mannerisms. The Court will mute all parties until it is their turn to speak. If you are muted and wish to speak, raise your hand. The Court will eject any disruptive party from the Zoom session. Misconduct may result in contempt

of court. Procedure for Exhibits: Each exhibit must be an individual PDF and pre-marked with a unique number and a concise and clear description, e.g., “Plaintiff Exh 1 — photo of house.” The exhibits shall also be redacted to

protect all sensitive information like home addresses, social security numbers, account numbers, etc. Counsel must exchange exhibits five days prior to the proceeding.

Counsel shall confer about stipulations

and objections to the exhibits four days prior to the proceeding. By noon three days prior to the proceeding, counsel shall submit all properly marked exhibits, list the stipulations, and identify any objections with citation to applicable evidentiary rules. File sharing services such as DropBox are blocked by DeKalb County IT, meaning that exhibits must be mailed or uploaded to the Court’s SFTP gateway.

Exhibits of less than 10 files, with each file being smaller than 10 MB, can be emailed to Ms. Harden.

Exhibits exceeding 10 files or files are larger than 10 MB must be uploaded to the Court’s SFTP

gateway, https://sftp.dekalbcountyga.gov/f/20a9205f73bfd00S. If you have technical issues with emailing exhibits or uploading them to the SFTP gateway, please email Ms. Harden. Witnesses:

Any witnesses will be sequestered in either the Zoom waiting room or a breakout room.

Sequestered witnesses shall NOT view the court proceeding through any media, on any device.
