The Brookhaven Blast BROOKHAVEN INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL Brookhaven International Festival and 5K this weekend An assortment of cultures will be woven together on Saturday, Oct. 21, and Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, to create what will be Brookhaven’s annual International Festival along the Peachtree Creek Greenway. This festival will be the City’s first major event along the Buford Highway Cultural Corridor. The Brookhaven International Festival will feature a variety of live cultural performances and music, international cuisine, an art walk, interactive art creation, a Kidz Zone, health screenings and vendors. A 5K walk/run benefiting We Love Buford Highway will take place Sunday, Oct. 22. The race is an official qualifier for the Atlanta-Journal Constitution Peachtree Road Race. Live Entertainment Live entertainment at the Brookhaven International Festival includes a variety of multicultural musical, dance and other exciting performers. Food of the World A variety of international cuisines and treats, refreshing drinks, and adult beverages will be available for purchase at the Brookhaven International Festival. Click here to view some of the participating food vendors Global Marketplace The Global Marketplace at the Brookhaven International Festival will include artisan ware, fine art and other unique items for sale from a variety of vendors. Kidz Zone The Brookhaven International Festival Kidz Zone will feature free activities, including inflatables, cultural arts and crafts, and a chalk walk, as well as yummy treats and sweets for purchase. International Festival to feature free Health & Wellness Fair The Brookhaven International Festival will include a Health & Wellness Fair, including free glucose and hypertension screenings, wellness resources, prizes, and more. Boundless Dreams unveils for the inaugural Brookhaven International Festival Dashboard, We Love Buford Highway, the Brookhaven Arts and Culture Commission, and Explore Brookhaven announce Boundless Dreams – a dynamic display of outdoor artworks uniting dreamers from different walks of life, unveiling alongside the inaugural Brookhaven International Festival. Produced and curated by Dashboard and featuring local Metro-Atlanta artists Gavin Bernard and Patricia Hernandez, the exhibition connects the artist’s boundless dreams and artistic expressions to showcase unity at the center stage and inspire a shared vision of harmony, understanding, and collective strength. Brookhaven International 5K an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race qualifier Check out the USATF-certified race course for the Brookhaven International Festival 5K, taking place Sunday, Oct. 22, at 8 a.m. along the Peachtree Creek Greenway. How to Get Here There is no general parking at the Brookhaven International Festival.  Attendees are strongly encouraged to walk, bike or take transit to the Brookhaven International Festival on the Peachtree Creek Greenway with entrances on both Corporate Boulevard and Briarwood Road. The Northeast Plaza MARTA bus stop at the intersection of Buford Highway and Briarwood is a short walk to the International Festival entrance at 1793 Briarwood Road.  Those taking MARTA rail can take advantage of the free shuttles provided by the City of Brookhaven at the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe MARTA station. More info here.
