 Ms. Bryant,

 Thank you for your note.

 I wanted to confirm that my clarification questions sent at 12:23 PM (and re-forwarded into the JustFOIA portal) were received and are under review. Those questions are intended to determine whether the request can be refined to reduce the estimated time and cost before I proceed with a deposit.

 Once I have that information, I will promptly advise on next steps.

 Happy New Year, and thank you for your assistance.

 Warm regards,
Sarah

 Dear Ms. Watts,

 I hope you are doing well. Thank you again for your assistance with Open Records Request PRR-726-2025 and for keeping me informed throughout the process.

 I am writing to request clarification regarding Invoice #PRR-726-2025-INV-1 dated January 6, 2026, which reflects a $500 charge described as a deposit for records preparation.

 When I approved the estimate on December 22, 2025, my understanding was that the anticipated cost was approximately two (2) hours of staff time at $27 per hour, less the fifteen minutes provided at no charge, and I was advised that the records would be ready by January 9, 2026. I may be misunderstanding, but the current invoice appears to differ from that initial estimate, and I did not see a revised estimate or explanation accompanying the invoice.

 If you don’t mind, could you please help me understand:

 Whether the scope or complexity of the request changed after the original estimate;

 How the $500 amount was calculated; and

 Whether an itemized estimate or breakdown is available for review.

 I am, of course, happy to pay any lawful and properly estimated costs associated with fulfilling the request and simply want to be sure I understand the basis for the updated charge before proceeding.

 Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I appreciate your help and look forward to your guidance on next steps.

 Warm regards,
Sarah Zeeman
