Sarah, good morning. I have copied Sean McCarthy here. I suggest you coordinate a time to speak with him to address your questions. The Open Records Act is to produce public records and the City has produced what it has. Sean can provide more insight into any question you have.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Subject: Re: Your Open Records Act requests to the City of Brookhaven
Hi Jeremy,
Thank you so much for the update — I truly appreciate your time and the City’s efforts to review the request.
I did want to follow up with a quick clarification so I can better understand the “no additional responsive records” determination.
Last year, Public Works (specifically Sean McCarthy) informed me in writing that an investigation was being performed regarding the broken storm drain and pipe in the right-of-way adjacent to my property, and that this investigation took precedence over the open sinkholes/ROW subsidence ticket (PW Ticket #4800069). That repair ticket will reach the one-year mark next week and has not been repaired.
Because the investigation was referenced directly by Public Works, I wanted to kindly ask whether the City could help me understand:
1. Whether that investigation was completed;
2. If so, whether any records, notes, photos, or internal communications were created as part of it; and
3. If the investigation produced no documents at all, whether a brief written “no-records” statement can be provided so I understand the outcome clearly.
I’m not seeking to challenge the City’s response — I’m simply trying to reconcile the written statement that an investigation was underway with the indication that no responsive records exist. Any clarification you can provide would be extremely helpful and very much appreciated.
Thank you again for your continued assistance and patience. I sincerely appreciate everyone’s time.
Warm regards,
Sarah Zeeman

Good morning. The City staff has confirmed that there are no additional responsive records other than what the City has previously produced.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, Loretta, and Sandra,
I hope you’re all doing well and having a good start to the week.
I was looking to send a follow-up regarding the supplemental materials for PRR-499-2025 and PRR-647-2025. Thank you again for your message last Monday and for confirming that the City is working to respond based on the clarifications I provided — I truly appreciate your help.
I also noticed that our correspondence continued on a new thread, so I am copying the original Open Records request address here to keep the record complete and ensure everything remains documented adequately under the same request numbers.
Because the three-business-day period outlined under the Open Records Act has now passed, I would like to check in to see whether there is an update available or if there is anything further you need from me to assist with the search.
My goal is simply to receive the responsive records so that this request can be resolved smoothly. If additional time is needed, please feel free to let me know — even a brief status update or a written no-records determination would be very helpful.
If the supplemental production cannot be completed, I was reading that the ORA would require me to request
