Thank you so much for your note and for including Sean — I appreciate you
taking the time to respond and help coordinate.
I understand the City’s position that the Open Records Act is limited to
the production of existing public records, and that the City believes it
has produced all responsive records currently in its possession.
For purposes of fully closing the loop on PRR-499-2025 and PRR-647-2025,
and just to be sure I have a clear and accurate understanding of the City’s
determination, would you mind confirming in writing:
• which City departments or custodians were contacted or searched in
response to PRR-499-2025 and PRR-647-2025;
• whether searches included Public Works, engineering/stormwater functions,
and any work-order or inspection systems used for this location; and
• that, other than the materials already produced (including photographs),
no additional responsive records exist, including any notes, emails,
work-order entries, inspection records, or internal communications related
to the referenced investigation or the deferral of repairs.
By way of background only, the open Public Works ticket (#4800069) has now
remained unresolved for nearly one year and, at the time, was deferred
based on a representation that an investigation regarding the storm drain
adjacent to my property was underway. Given that no records reflecting such
an investigation have been identified, I’m simply hoping to ensure the ORA
record accurately reflects whether any investigative documentation exists.
I’m happy to coordinate separately with Sean regarding operational
questions related to the open Public Works ticket, including current status
and anticipated repair timelines. My goal here is simply to complete the
ORA requests with a clear and accurate written record.
