As such, current

operations prevent us from determining if the records you seek exist. That determination will likely be made within

thirty (30) business days. Within that time, we will inform you whether responsive records exist, and if so, when those records can be made available.

If unforeseen circumstances require that we modify this projected date, we will

supplement this response with new correspondence that informs you of the new date when your records will likely be available. “When records are not immediately available, as is the case here, the Open Records Act requires the County to provide an estimated cost for the search, retrieval and possible redaction of the records you seek.” As such, the cost is based

upon $15.00 per hour, (no charge for the first 15 minutes) to cover the administrative cost of assisting you with your request plus a charge for copies.

The fee for copies is $.10 per page or 5.00 per page larger than 11x17. Upon

completion of this search, you will receive the actual cost of any fees associated with this request. This request has been forwarded to the relevant division(s) for review and to provide a search of the requested records. For Communication Records your request has been forwarded to John Matelski at jmatelski@dekalbcountyga.gov .

For plans or drawings contact Tanya Fleming at tmfleming1@dekalbcountyga.gov. The County and its officials and departments do not produce documents or records that are protected by the attorney-client privilege or the attorney work product doctrine under Georgia or federal law or that are otherwise exempt from production under the Georgia Open Records Act. The County expressly reserves and does not waive any statutory exemptions from disclosure provided by 0.C.G.A §50-18-72, et seq. and other applicable

laws. Sincerely,

Andrew A. Baker, Director Department of Planning & Sustainability
