Lovely...essentially we need to combine the EXISTING details as they exist, with the
PROPOSED new porch design added. Matt, | do not think the surveyor has the capacity to do this...they report what EXISTS rather what we are proposing. Could your designer create this new plan view of the
combined image? Thanks...

Yes! Exactly. Your surveyor already has the one showing the deck in the easement can he now show it how it will be built? With the diagonal configuration so that the deck is out of
the easement? That is exactly what | need.
Thank you so much!

WARNING:
OK, so if | understand correctly, you need us to take the proposed NEW screened in porch design and overlay that onto latest survey, so you can see where the new porch sits relative to the easement. Will that give you what you need?
Matt...how can we create this new drawing for the County to review...can your designer do this?
Thanks for your continued guidance as we get to the finish line here....

WARNING:
Dear Ms. Lewis-
Please see attached - the most recent survey from the end of last year.
It includes the placement of the sewer line as noted by our utility detection service and our survey service, with the 10 foot easement shown either side of the sewer line.
You will see by comparing this survey to the latest drawings that our revised "diagonal" outermost line of the screened in porch is now outside the easement area.
We hope this gives you the information you need.
With your approval, do you inform City of Brookhaven or do we re-engage with them?
Thanks

Very good. | am out of town but will
Work with my wife to get those to you tonight.
To be clear, we’re talking about the survey we had done, showing the sewer line and hence the easement, and therefore the deck location relative to that? Correct?

WARNING:
Good evening,
Matt Johnson, our contractor, has had his designer redraw the screened in porch plans with the line of the deck now "rotated counter clockwise" so that the outer edge parallels the 10 feet easement line, but does not cross it.
Please see enclosed both plans and 3D renderings of the new design.
They have been very careful to ensure that the new outer edge of the screened in porch is outside the 10 feet easement, as you can see.
Please review at your soonest and let us know: e
Does this now meet the County sewer easement code/rules/requirements?
e Assuming it does, how do we inform City of Brookhaven that DeKalb County has OK'ed the plans? e
Does that approval go from you to the City planners or do we need to inform them separately?
It is our hope that with your OK we can proceed to getting the permit from the City and then proceed with the work.
Please advise if this works for you...if there is anything else you need from us or our contractor...if you'll be passing your approval back to the City...and if we can then proceed.
THANKS!

WARNING:
Good morning Ms. Lewis,
By way of an update...our contractor, Matt Johnson, is in the process of re-drawing the deck, with a revised foot print that will meet the easement/setback requirements.
We expect that revised drawing soon.
As soon as we do get that we'll forward to you for your review/comments/approval.
Assuming the new plan meets with County code and your approval, is it reasonable to
assume that is the last step and so we can then proceed to get our permits from both your office and City of Brookhaven, and then proceed with the work?
Thanks

Good afternoon,
You are allowed to move the posts and deck so that the portion of the deck the deck that is encroaching is not in the easement . A cantilever deck into the easement is also not allowed. The easement is 10' off center of pipe on both sides for a total width of 20' . There are no variances or appeals to this DWM Code on this requirement.
