A graduate from The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and Massey Fashion Institute of Atlanta. Diane fell in love with fine fabrics and color after working with Calvin Klein, Oscar De La Renta, and Halston in New York. She launched her interior design career in 1997, after eight years of living in New York. Geyer Interiors began designing vacation homes for the rich and famous. She has gained a multitude of

experience throughout the years of her work. Continuing her work to surgery centers, homes, and commercial properties. When Diane is not busy designing, you can find her at in Brookhaven, Roswell or Marietta with her husband Ernie and

their dog Lucky or volunteering community outreach time through

David C. Payne, Associate Vice President, Emory University David Payne currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Planning and Engagement at Emory University. In this capacity, he oversees internal

engagement with faculty, students and staff on Emory’s master plan, and engagement with elected officials, civic leadership and other external constituencies on the plan and its implementation.

Currently under

development, Emory’s master plan will be a 20+ year vision of where Emory, both University and Healthcare, envisions its facility needs and growth in metro Atlanta over the decades ahead.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Payne was chief of staff for the Executive Vice President for Business and Administration at Emory University, which oversees

the business functions of the university. Before joining Emory, Mr. Payne worked with Atlanta-based public affairs firms, and in corporate communications and external affairs. He is a Maryland native who graduated from the University of Richmond and the University of Baltimore School of Law.

RESOLUTION APPOINTING TRUSTEES DIANE GEYER AND DAVID C PAYNE TO THE BROOKHAVEN CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU

WHEREAS: The City of Brookhaven, Georgia (hereinafter, the “City”) was duly incorporated on December 17, 2012; and

WHEREAS: Section 1.05 of the City’s Charter created the Brookhaven Convention and Visitors Bureau (BCVB); and

WHEREAS: Section 1.03(b)(40) authorizes the City to contract with other governmental agencies or nonprofit organizations to promote tourism, conventions, and trade shows; and

WHEREAS: The City has incorporated the BCVB to market and promote the City of Brookhaven, and

WHEREAS: The BCVB incorporation document allows for the appointment of up to 12 trustee members; and WHEREAS: The BCVB was initially incorporated with Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws submitted to Secretary of State, and the Certificate of Incorporation was received October 6, 2015; and WHEREAS: The BCVB Bylaws were updated and adopted June 25, 2019; and

WHEREAS: The City Council has appointed various board representation to reflect the key cultural and attraction assets within the City of Brookhaven.; and WHEREAS:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Brookhaven appoint Diane Geyer for term to expire ------------------ and David C Payne for term to expire --------------- ; SO RESOLVED AND EFFECTIVE, this the 26th day of April 2022.
