Hello, Claims dept,
The next-door neighbor (Diana and Jonathan Sweatman) at 2746 Grove Street
NE Brookhaven, GA 30319 got 2 surveys performed and the 2nd survey
magically takes over 2 feet of my property.
He has not performed work today, but when we spoke this afternoon he is
adamant that the 2 feet of my property is his and was planning on taking it
back when re-doing the fence on the construction project (for a covered
backyard deck) he is starting this week.
In discussion, I mentioned to him about adverse possession real estate laws
as the current fence that has been standing between the homes since I
purchased my property, and it has been on the property for almost 30 years
so the 2 feet he's referring to is void due to adverse possession.
He is very headstrong and I am concerned he will just try to run over me in
the next couple of weeks and move forward with his attempt to take the 2
feet of my property including the land that my fence and HVAC cement pads
have always resided.
What can be done to protect and prevent him from taking down the current
fence in his attempt to take 2 feet of my property?
