Sarah,

I have been in communication with Gaddy each week and providing him additional details to submit the formal proposal today. As for the hearing, you will not need to be present. It’s a status hearing and I will email the Court the delay with the survey complexities and County and City requirements causing the delay due to their recent ordinances and zoning rules. The work Gaddy would be doing is re-platting the property lines which, given the location of the homes (both physical and in the City of Brookhaven/unincorporated DeKalb County), which requires topography scans, impervious surface measurements/inspection to ensure they are below 35%, permitting to change the tax assessor maps, and a three (3) page compilation of the original survey, topography, and proposed re-platting/subdivision survey that will then become the controlling plat for both properties.

Again, it is complex and the technical aspect of the equipment used would best be explained by Gaddy. He estimates the surveys to take roughly 6 hours per property.

There has been no response to my questions for over a week and my voicemail was not answered.

It’s my understanding nothing has been scheduled with Gaddy and at this point in time I will have to request be absent from my job for the upcoming court hearing for which we have no survey?

I have to submit a request to my employer for additional time off of work to attend this new court hearing that I discovered online; what exactly is being presented to the court, and for my edification,  is this the standard protocol two months+ after our court appearance and settlement at court?

2. What was Gaddy's outline
3. What are the "technical" parts
4. What is the difference between a standard survey and what Gaddy  (who has been working with and surveying Brookhaven and Dekalb for decades) is proposing needs to be done?

I spoke with Gaddy, in length, and I am waiting for a formal quote/proposal with scope of work; he was supposed to send it over today – I will follow up. The Court date is only a status hearing to see where the settlement stands. If the parties agree, we can always dismiss the case without prejudice pending the settlement execution.
